Four years ago this guy changed they way I worked in such a huge way and today was his return to the UK to further inspire and develop the way we see things with light.
Jerry is undoubtably the best wedding photographer in the world today and always inspires and excites. Again I have come away with some amazing new ideas to develop and place into beautiful venues in the area, as well as some more ideas for getting the best out of the craziest of situations.
Big Big thanks to JG. Every £ was well spent!

Tony had not been mentioned by the time the third place had been announced and then was extremely happy to see one of his prints announced in second place.
Tony commented:
“I was on my way back to my seat after being presented with the second place certificate only to here my name called out again as the winner of the Wedding category. It was a fantastic achievement of recognition especially as it is based in my own region where my work base covers East Anglia and London”.
“Both pictures were taken in my home town of Colchester although you would have to look hard to recognise these sites. The winning picture was unusual as it was taken at night last year, the only lighting used was a street light outside Wivenhoe House, Capturing Stacey & Matt Armstrong from Stanway.
The second place shot was inside the Abbey Gate arch in a very dim, grimy corner, but I managed to capture the internal beauty of the architecture, with some wonderful natural light coming through onto the Bride, Alex Dey, of Colchester.
Recognition at this level is so important as you have to work hard in creating unusual pictures to stay ahead of the game as well as developing new ideas and techniques and honing your style. Each year we see more unqualified people buying a digital camera and saying they are wedding photographers, usually resulting in unhappy clients. Excellent wedding photography does not come cheap but you are buying into the quality of the photographer and their work. I am very please to be at the top in the region and this is appreciated by my clients.
PRESS RELEASE 13th May 2008
CONTEMPORARY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR
British Institute of Professional Photographers
London & Home Counties
Wedding photographer, Tony Bramley LBIPP of Storm Photography, gained 2nd place in the Contemporary Wedding Photographer of the Year Awards held by the British Institute of Professional Photographers, London and Home Counties.
The Awards were held at Buckinghamshire Golf Club this month and were judged by Ray Lowe FBIPP FMPA, one of the worlds most respected photographers and judges.
Ray Lowe made a final selection of eight from all of the entries and commented that to have eight at that stage indicated that the standard was extremely high. Tony had three prints in this final selection and it finally came down to two prints that the judge had difficulty in deciding over.
Tony Commented: “This was my first time at this event and I was particularly nervous as Ray does not hold anything back on his print critic and is renowned for hitting hard on any flaws in the image, whether it is composition, subject matter, posing, or print quality. To see three of my images in the final selection of eight was fantastic and gaining the second place in this competition within the British Institutes London & Home Counties Region was a high achievement.
I was particularly pleased as the contemporary wedding category relies on the photographer as an artist, achieving a modern and different look to the traditional poses that we often see and an area I specialise in. I would like to thank Kerri Roger who was the Bride in the image and looked amazing on her wedding day and was prepared to do a few things different when it came to the photography.
I now have to push harder with this years weddings and create some new ideas that will hopefully put me in the running again for next year.”
Tony also received a further two certificates of merit in the contemporary section as well as a merit in the classical wedding section
