Bride Prep

On a lovely autumn day we arrived at Channels Estate for the wedding of Sarah-Jane and James.  Sarah-Jane and her bridesmaids were all getting ready in the cottage.  She was soon ready to step into her beautiful wedding dress she looked amazing.  It was a lovely emotional moment when Dad came in to see her in her dress for the first time.  Channels has some lovely gardens that we were able to use for some photographs before going to catch up with James and his men.

The Ceremony

As it was such a glorious day the ceremony was going to be outside in the garden. Lots of wedding guests had taken their seats ready.  Sarah-Jane was soon making her way to James to become husband and wife.  After a really lovely ceremony it was time for then to enjoy drinks reception.

Drinks Reception

They were so lucky with the weather they had certainly picked the right day.  We could not believe how hot it was. They were able to enjoy there drinks outside in the wedding garden as well with all their family and friends.

Wedding Breakfast

Before long it was time for their wedding breakfast,  but before this it was throwing of the confetti.  This was at the front of  the Essex Barn,  we always think this is such a lovely moment for the couple. Once this was over it was time for everyone to make their way in for the wedding breakfast.

First Dance

After the meal we had some time to get some night shots of Sarah-Jane and James before their evening guests arrived and the start of the evening celebrations. First dance followed after the throwing of the bouquet with lots of eager ladies wanting to catch it.

Getting ready of the bride

The day started at Alison’s parents home in the lovely village of East Bergholt.  There was lots of wedding prep going on.  Once Alison’s was ready we were able to capture her getting into her stunning wedding dress from her sister’s shop  The Bridal Lounge .  She looked amazing and was really looking forward to the day ahead.   As we were doing well on time we were able to get some photos inside the house of Alison as well as outside before leaving to go to Layer Marney Tower,  alway a lovely place to shoot a wedding.

Wedding Ceremony

Paul and his best man and ushers were all ready when we arrived, so we were able to get their photographs done which was great. Wedding guests were starting to arrive and where making their way upstairs for the ceremony.  The wedding car was due to arrive very soon so everyone was taking their seats ready.  The vintage Layer Marney Rolls Royce was soon pulling up outside Layer Marney Tower with Alison and her  parents.

Drinks Reception

It was a lovely ceremony followed by their drinks reception on the steps of the tower, while the happy couple were whisked off for a drive in the Rolls Royce after being served a glass of bubbly by Graham the chauffeur.   We were being lucky with the weather as the sun was shining but it was changing fast as the clouds had started to build.

Wedding Breakfast

After the throwing of the confetti on the staircase everyone was welcomed in by Alison and Paul.  It was a lovely meal and once the speeches had finished, evening guests were starting to arrive for the evening celebrations .

First Dance

As the band had set up earlier it was soon time for the First Dance.  The band were really good they soon had everyone up and dancing.

Bride Getting Ready

When we arrived lots of prep was going on with everyone busy having their hair and makeup finished off . There was a very happy atmosphere with lots of fun and laughter.  Charlotte’s stunning dress had been kept a secret from everyone apart from Mum.  It was a beautiful surprise to the bridesmaids and of course her Dad.   She looked stunning and  Charlotte’s father was very emotional on seeing his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time.  Such a special moment.

Feering Church

It was now time to make our way over to Feering church,  Christopher was waiting for us when we arrived with his Best Lady, Hannah. Wedding guests were starting to arrive and Christopher was welcoming them into the church.   Charlotte and her parents arrived in a beautiful Horse and Carriage. A lovely way to arrive at the church in the late summer sunshine.  Charlotte was soon walking down the aisle to marry her best friend.

After a beautiful service there was lots of hugs and kisses from family and friends followed by their walk through the wedding guests to the Rolls Royce through a wall of confetti.  They were soon on their way  to Le Talbooth for the rest of their special day.

Le Talbooth Wedding Reception

Such a lovely setting for your wedding reception,  there was a steel band playing as everyone arrived, they all made their way onto the perfect lawn alongside the riverside and set in Constable country. The bride and & groom soon arrived in a gorgeous Vintage Rolls Royce from Nixon Cars .

As everyone enjoyed their drinks and canapés, the clouds were gathering above, but we were very lucky with the weather, as it held off for a while and then after a shower was lovely again.  The happy couple were having a wonderful time with their family and friends on their wedding day. They were soon being called in for their wedding breakfast.

First Dance

They started their first dance with some special moves… some classic Morecambe & Wise including the paper bag trick and ‘Bring Me Sunshine’ before asking everyone to join in with them. It was then time for Charlotte to share her dance with her Father, then it was party time.

We would like to wish them our congratulations.
