The Royal Photographic Society
I am very pleased to announce that I have been made a Fellow of The Royal Photographic Society following a successful panel submission within conceptual & contemporary photography.
This is a result of an initial idea conceived around five years age (thank you Brad) that really took up pace 15 months ago and went to assessment back on September 15th this year. This was followed by Fellowship Board approval around a week ago and then the final part of the assessment, which was ratification by the RPS council, earlier this week, whew!
This is the highest honour from the Royal Photographic Society, of which I am very proud. The RPS is international and promotes both the art and science of photography and was formed back in 1853.

PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
LOCAL PHOTOGRAPHER TONY BRAMLEY ACHIEVES FELLOWSHIP WITH THE ROYAL PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY
Local photographer and artist, Tony Bramley, from Marks Tey, has just had confirmed that he is receiving the highest distinction in the photography world, he is to become a Fellow of The Royal Photographic Society.
Tony, owner of Essex based Storm Photography, has produced an extremely unique body of work that draws on concepts from the artists of the Russian avant-garde at the turn of the 20th century. In particular, Tony has taken the work of the abstract Russian painter, Kazimir Malevich and transformed his concept, known as Suprematism, into a body of conceptual and contemporary photography.
Tony’s Fellowship is within the conceptual & contemporary category of the Royal Photographic Society, an area that requires photographers to push creative boundaries and explore new & original bodies of work. He believes that photographers in the past have skimmed over the surface of Suprematism. His work has adhered to Malevich’s original concept on “non-objective art”, where the final compositions are devoid of objectivity, with only the essence remaining within its geometry.
“For me, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society is a huge accomplishment that tops off my career, there is nothing better out there. I am now looking to develop my portfolio for gallery work and commercial commissions. There is definitely an outlet for my work as commercial art and this I will start exploring in 2016.
I had three pieces accepted in the Colchester Art Society 2015 Summer Exhibition, one in Colchester Firstsite’s first open exhibition. Currently I have two on display at Colchester Art Society’s Winter Exhibition at the Minories Gallery. Hopefully more exhibitions will follow. I have already given one presentation on my work and will be developing this further in 2016.” Tony Bramley
